Problem: The State of California—not eFile.com—rejected your Federal Tax Return because Schedule CA 540 has missing information.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account and click on "State Taxes" on the left. Review all your CA Form 540 Part I or 540NR entries. Read the instructions on the right side of your page.
Once you have corrected this, continue with your re-eFile process. You can re-eFile your return at no additional charge.
