MD Tax Return Rejection Code R000-00000-050

Problem: The IRS has accepted your return but Maryland—not—has rejected your return because you must have filed the MD form 502 or Form 505 previously with the same Social Security Number (SSN).

Solution: Let us help you turn this into a Maryland acceptance. Sign into your account and click "Name and Address" on the left side menu. Check your primary and spouse SSN and your current year tax records. Check if you or your spouse have already filed an MD return with form 502 or 505 with this same SSN. If you did, you do not need to do anything else on If not, click on "My Account" in your account, download the PDF for the current tax year, PRINT and sign your MD return, and MAIL it in.
