The Maryland Dep. of Taxation/Revenue etc. is asking you to make a correction and on your MD Tax Return.
Solution: Please sign in to your eFile.com account now and review the messages on the right side page.
1. Sign in: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/SignIn/
2. Read the instructions on the right page under the My Return menu on the left
3. Then click on State Taxes on the left and on the right side the small blue link: I'd like to see the forms I've filled out or search for a form then select the state in question and edit the form. On Line 46 on Form 502 total payment and credits on line 44 minus total MD income tax and local tax, contributions On line 39, if the amount is negative enter 0.
3. Click on Maryland and the the down arrow on the right and review your state forms.
4. When done click on File in the lower left on the left side menu and re-efile your return at no additional fees.
