Problem: The State of Maryland—not eFile.com—rejected your Maryland Tax Return because for a secondary taxpayer the Date Birth is missing or is not checked to have Health Care Coverage.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/signin, click on Name & Address on the left and check the secondary tax payer Date of Birth. Or, check under Federal Taxes on the left and Dependents.
Then, click on State Taxes and review the Maryland forms. Once you have corrected this continue with your re-eFile process. You can re-eFile your return at no additional charge as many times as it takes to get it accepted.
