Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—has rejected your return and you are required to make a correction.
Solution: Please sign in to your eFile.com account now and click on My Return in the upper left and review the IRS message on the right.
1. Sign in: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/SignIn/
2. Click on Name & Address and the left and verify the Social Security Number (SSN) on the right side.
3. Click on Federal Taxes → Review on the left side green menu and then on the right side the link "I'd like to see all the forms I have used on my federal return"
Review Form 8863 Line 21. The SSN has been used on another Form 8863. Please either remove the form or adjust the SSN. Then re-efile at no additional charge.
