IRS Tax Return Rejection Code F2441-524

Problem: The IRS—not—rejected your tax return because your name and Social Security Number (SSN) don't match IRS records.

Solution: Sign into your account at Click Name and Address on the left side of your account screen and review your name and SSN. If the information is entered incorrectly, correct it and save your changes. Then re-eFile your federal and state returns at no additional charge. However, if it's entered correctly, print your return(s) from your account, sign it, and mail it to the IRS and/or state tax agency. Find the right address to use at

Contact Social Security and see if the issue with the SSN and/or name is with them, as they provide data to the IRS: Social Security Administration. You may also need to call IRS taxpayer assistance at 1-800-829-1040.
