Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—has rejected your return because the Social Security Number (SSN) of the spouse has already been used on another return accepted by the IRS.
Solution: Please sign in to your eFile.com account now and click on My Return in the upper left and review the IRS message on the right.
1. Sign in: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/SignIn/
2. Click on Name & Address and verify the Names and SSNs of the primary taxpayer and the spouse (if applicable) on your return. On Form 1310, the Name of the person claiming the refund must match SSN in the IRS database. Make any corrections needed and re-eFile again at no additional charge. If you can not correct this issue (for example, because the issue is with the IRS and not with your form), please download your return from your My Account and PRINT, sign and MAIL it to the IRS.
