Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—rejected your Federal Tax Return because a Payer Federal ID number or EIN you entered from your 1099-R form doesn't match IRS records.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account, click on "My Return" in the green section in the upper left and read the instruction message on the right. Then, click on Federal Taxes and Income on the left and you will find your 1099 entry (or entries) at the bottom. Click on them and verify the Payer or EIN number.
Once completed, checkout again and re-efile at no charge.
