Problem: The state of NM—not eFile.com—rejected your State Tax Return because of your NM PIT-B Form: PIT-B - Worksheet for Apportionment of Business/Farm. When you select one of the special method elections or enter an effective date for the election, you must enter your property, payroll and sales for everywhere.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/SignIn/, click "State Taxes" on the left side. Review your NM Form PIT-B. If you did not intend to select the special method selection, remove your entry from the date or check boxes but leave the form on your return for your business.
Continue through the eFile process again. You can re-eFile your return at no additional charge.
