2023 Form 8824 - Life Kind Exchanges

Form 8824 is used to report like-kind exchanges of real property and certain types of personal property. A like-kind exchange, as defined by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, allows the deferral of capital gains taxes when property held for productive use in a trade or business or for investment is exchanged for similar property.
