Advanced Payment of the 2021 Child Tax Credit

The advanced Child Tax Credit Calculator will provide you with the estimated credit amount you can expect as your Child Tax Credit for 2021. You will need to provide the number of children you have in two age brackets, 5 and younger, and 6 to 17; the children ages are as of December 31, 2021.

Attention: You will also need to enter your Filing Status for 2021 and Adjusted Gross Income from your 2020 Tax Return (if you have not filed yet, more info below). If you have not yet filed a 2020 Tax Return or generally don't file a return at all, you can eFile it now in order to be eligible to receive the proper credit amount. If you do not want to receive the advanced payments, you can un-enroll or opt out here.

You will be able to make child tax credit adjustments on your 2021 tax return here on eFile.com due in 2022. Ask an eFile.com Taxpert® for more support on the child tax credit.
