Problem: The State of Illinois—not eFile.com—rejected your IL state tax return. On your IL Form on Step 1, you did not enter the correct or valid IL county name.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/signin, click State Taxes on the left green side, and review your IL return. Enter the correct county name and continue with your re-eFile process. You can re-eFile your return at no additional charge.
