Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—rejected your Federal Tax Return because your Tax Withholding Amount must be less than the sum of Income.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account, click Federal Taxes and Income, and check all the income sections and their respective tax withholding amounts. Once you have corrected this, continue with your re-eFile process. You can re-eFile your return at no additional charge as many times as it takes to get it accepted.
In some cases, the IRS rejects incorrectly. In that case, go to "My Account" on eFile.com and download, sign, print, and paper file your return via mail or call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
