IRS Tax Return Status
Before your refund can be issued, your return must be accepted by the IRS. Follow these steps to check on your tax refund status:

Check your tax return on efile.com. As soon as you sign in you will see the status of your return.
If you need further information from the status page, click Open My Return.
Once you are back in your return look at the Check Status message in the upper right corner.
Your return is either:- Waiting
- Rejected, or
- Accepted
If your return is Rejected, you can fix your return and efile until your return is accepted at no extra charge.

How your refund is released by the IRS depends on which refund method you selected when filing your return.
- If you selected IRS Direct Deposit, your refund will be transferred through the efile.com partner bank: Republic Bank Tax Refund Solution:
Note: If you contacted the IRS and they informed you that your refund was transferred to a bank or a bank routing number different than the routing number of your bank, don't worry; efile.com is not a bank, thus we have to use a bank in order to transfer your refund to your bank.
- If you selected Refund Check Through The Mail, call the Refund Hotline at 1-800-829-1954 or 1.800.829.1040
- If you selected RAL Refund:
- Check RAL Refund Deposit status here
