How FREE is Free?

Some online tax preparation web sites claim to offer FREE tax returns.

Ask yourself if FREE is really free?

• Some sites might offer a FREE federal return but they will charge a very high fee for the state return.
• Some sites offer a FREE federal return but do not provide customer support; they will ask you to upgrade to a paid return for customer support.
• Some sites offer a FREE federal return but the return is limited to very basic forms. If you require additional federal forms you may be required to upgrade to a paid version.
