When Are Taxes Due?
- Federal Tax Return for Tax Year 2007: April 15, 2008
- State Tax Returns for Tax Year 2007: April 15, 2008
- Federal Tax Return Extension for Tax Year 2007: April 15, 2008
After the above tax deadlines, on efile.com you can:
- eFile your 2007 Federal and State Tax Return: October 15, 2008
- Prepare your 2007 Federal and State Tax Return and mail: December 10, 2008
Attention - If you eFile or file after April 15, 2008:
- The IRS might apply late fee penalties plus interest on taxes owed.
- If you expect a tax refund the IRS late fee penalties might not apply.
What if I owe more than I can pay?
Tax Amendment Deadline
If you need to change your current or any previously eFiled/filed tax return (e.g. add or subtract income, deductions etc.) you need to fill out and mail in a Tax Amendment. The IRS does not support efiling a tax amendment.

You can complete this form either with the ADOBE READER or by hand.

Previous Year(s) Tax Return Deadline
- There is no IRS deadline for overdue previous year(s) tax returns.
- You can not efile previous year tax returns.
